Champagne François-Lecompte is a winegrower’s champagne which, since 1876, has been produced in our Champagne House. Harvested in our vineyard on the Monoterroir of Rilly-la-Montagne, classified as Premier Cru, it is pressed, vinified, bottled and then aged in our cellars on the property.
As a champagne grower-producer, François Lecompte is authorized to inscribe the coveted letters RM (Récoltant -manipulant) on the label of all his bottles of Premier CRU champagne.
The type of champagne he offers is determined by the time of fermentation (in vats or in oak barrels), by the time of aging of these wines in the cellar (more than 6 years on average), and by the dosage at the time of disgorgement.
After these 6 years of aging, our bottles of champagne will rest a few more months in our cellars to allow the liqueur to melt into the wine, before sparkling in your flutes.
